perfect spot for historic castles and nature walks

I enjoyed my stay while exploring nearby tolquhon castle, just about 6 km away, and took a lovely morning stroll at hill of barra, less than 4 km from the hotel, both of , made my weekend so nice. The room was spacious, and the staff were friendly.

Recently refurbished, top quality rooms with great view over garden. Favourable, amazing location in Oldmeldrum, near the gardens + golf course and the golf club in the minibus and aggressive and abusive nature of the bar staff involved and the lack of customer relations displayed...

Delicious food in a very homely environment, perfect for wheelchair users (super adapted room in new building)

Clean place with accommodating stuff and magnificent view over the establishing garden. Newly remodelled and luxurious room with a separate bathroom. Location right by Scotland, and Aberdeenshire. Also, by the beautiful golf course.

The units are well-organised with a balcony.

The staff provided excellent service. The breakfast offered a good selection that was beautifully presented.

The room was dark with only one tiny window.

Breakfast buffet can be offered more extensive.

First class experience, I will be using this hotel for all my future stays

The drive up to the hotel is lovely - gardens really well looked after. The hotel itself is full of character and charm and clearly steeped with history. We arrived quite late but the service we received from the young man who looked after us was first class. He showed us to our room and even although it was late and he had probably had a long day he was attentive and interested. He took time to tell us a bit about the hotel and made sure our drinks glasses were always full and that there was a log on the fire. I have worked in one of the top hotels in Scotland and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of service and luxurious surroundings.

Nothing negative to say.

This hotel is an absolute gem in the Aberdeenshire countryside. All the staff we encountered were warm and friendly. The rooms are stunning as is the location of the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast to die for. Only downside for me was the lack of a swimming pool - however on chatting to staff as I left I understand there was a decision to be made soon as to whether or not a pool was to be built. This is an ideal base for couples or families to enjoy the countryside or to savour the delights of the shops in Aberdeen - trains run into the city frequently from Inverurie which itself is only 6 miles from the hotel.
